Monthly Musical Update

Dear Parents,

This month in Music Class, Grade 4 has focused much of our effort on India Waale, our performance for ICF.  The students had fun learning all of moves, memorizing the music, and wearing traditional Indian dress.  Soon, students will begin working on their music for Year-End performance. Please remember over this Golden Week to have your student thoroughly clean out their recorder.

Musically yours,

Ms. Shay

Art- April Newsletter

This month we have been talking about a familiar journey, such as, their journey to school, a journey between two other places. Therefore, they were asked to describe and note in detail what they remember passing on the way. They after made visual notes in their sketchbooks of some of the patterns, shapes, signs that they could use to represent their own journeys.

In the following weeks, they will design and make travel brochures which I believe will be very interesting and fun for them.

Enjoy your day!

April Japanese class JNL Newsletter

Dear Parents of Grade 4

We could start term 3 successfully!
I appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Here is monthly Japanese class newsletter.
Please enjoy reading it.

Last term, the Grade 4 students read “Puratanasu no ki (plane tree)” and enjoyed this story which described the power of the roots of a tree and the blessings.
And this term, they are writing their impressions or feelings of this story. They considered the structure of their reading impressions essay, and then made a draft. Almost all the students mentioned about “Ojiisan”. They thought he may have been a wood nymph. They revised their draft. Now, they are making a clear copy, they will finish up it soon. They look like they are enjoying writing it themselves.I am sure this work will improve their Japanese writing skill.
