June Japanese class JNL Newsletter

Dear Parents of Grade 4

We finally finished this academic year!
It was very hard to make a push to finish all the units from their kokugo textbook, even then I had a great time with HORIZON students!
And I am glad that I can tell every student has improved their Kokugo ability.
Students will take a Japanese file home, please look over it and praise them the result of the Japanese learning of this year.

I would like to thank you for your support and cooperation for learning Japanese.

During the summer break, all the JNL students have Japanese homework.
Please check it with your children.
I hope everyone has a nice summer break.
                                                                                                Ms. Hayashi

This month the Grade 4 students practiced knowing the meaning of idioms by reading Kanji in the Japanese way (kun-yomi) at the topic of “Jyukugo no imi”. They had a chance to get used to use a dictionary to look for it.
Next topic was “Watashi no kenkyu report”. They learned how to write a report on research.

They also practiced writing homonym in a kanji correctly at the topic “Machigaeyasui kanji.

The last story for Grade 4 is “Hatsuyuki no furuhi”. This story is a little mysterious, so we have been reading carefully and trying to follow the plot of the story.

June Newsletter

Dear all,

We are finishing another successful year with full of projects, crafts and fun this year!

Seeing the students' different interests and skills was great in the classes. It definitely added another colour to our class times. G4 students were very eager to do projects and learn more about art which resulted with great works and fun times! It was a pleasure for me to teach them!

As their final project of this year, they enjoyed making their own Travel Brochures. I have to say that they came up with great ideas and worked perfectly with their partners and did an amazing work!

You deserved it G4s, enjoy your Summer Break! :)

Ms. Q
